Dr. Lektroluv

And then there was this green bloke. A huge doctor behind the decks with an old telephone for a headphone and a PhD tagged on his record-bag. Spinning cream-of-the-crop electro shizzle and hard-to-find classics. With surgical precision he knows how to jump set any dance-floor of into madness.

John Digweed

Besides all that he has accomplished, John Digweed’s biggest feat is that after his breakthrough in 1993 he spent the last 17 years becoming more ambitious, progressive and simply better by each year. Isla Electronica is more than proud to welcome this greatest of great DJ’s on the Fort Island.

Tron

When Tron (aka Frank Smithuis) was created in 1983, only few people believed in the plans of the government, trying to make the first allround Electric Dance Android (E.D.A.). After being placed in an ordinary family in the suburbs of Amsterdam, he was trained to listen to sounds of the Beatles, the Kinks and the Who, groups who tought him the basics of rhythm, beats and harmony. These artists were a huge influence in the still undeveloped brain of the android.

Guy J

“Just who is making these superfunky tracks?” Well. as it turned out, it’s that somewhat shy guy over there from Israel. You know, the one has been setting each and every dance-floor he finds on fire with unique blend of styles and sounds. The one that John Digweed immediately signed and is rapidly becoming a global superstar.

leckTrick

leckTrick started DJ'ing 'just because it happened' in the autumn of 2003 with his partner in crime Tron. Slowly more and more 'happenings' followed, though please: don't take his music too seriously. His addiction for vocals runs deep; as he states: 'Vocals make women dance!!' Add some eighties influences, a slice of guitars, a bunch of heavenly disco beats (OK, alright, where needed some electro vibes), not too much BPM and you are slowly getting ready to make your way to the dance floor! Deliciously dancing with a big smile on your face....

Grew up surrounded by stacks of soul records, broke in the music bizz as the lead singer of a rock band then gave himself completely to the new house & techno sound in the early ‘90s. This is Sharam Jay, a name associated with only the pumpiest of pumping electrohouse for years now. Acclaimed producer, innovative label-boss and a ridicioulsly good DJ.

After writing dance-floor history with his track “Exceeder”, DJ Mason has gone up, up, up. His tracks are worshipped by people like Pete Tong and Fat Boy Slim. Ministry of Sound offered the man a contract. Currently recording an artist album with a virtual who’s who doing a featuring.
Boemklatsch

Boem, klatsch, kick, snare! That’s how easy it can be. Actually, that’s how easy it was when Boemklatsch was founded in 2001. A party on a boat, twenty Euros, free booze and spinning hip hop records. Seven years later and this group of partying friends has become a colorful and energetic collective that isn’t afraid to party even harder than their own audience.

Robot Rock

Andy Royd and Atomica met behind the counters of an upscale Amsterdam records store. It was here that Atomica seduced Andy to step away from his rock roots and follow her into the magical world of electronic music. Hailed for a long series of ass-kicking parties in the Amsterdam underground scene, Robot Rock will rock Isla Electronica.

Mightyfools

When Andy Samin and Jelle Keizer met in an empty club they instantly melded together and started their collaboration. Their sound is a curious melting pot of hip hop, techno, disco, rock, RnB, funk, house and - above all else - big basslines. Expect a taste of all that they will bring during their summer festival tour.

Schaamteloos DJ's

Shameless (“schaamteloos” in Dutch) is a proper term to describe this collaboration between Jan Boom and Brano van Hilten. During every set they not only present the crowd with a warm bath filled with progressive, funky techhouse, but also give them a wild and eclectic show.
